Synthetic System
A downloadable game for Windows
Synthetic System is a territory-driven tower defense game where expansion is your economy, your build-able area, your safety and your end goal.
Grow an unknown synthetic system across the map, consume valuable resource deposits, and build defenses against an escalating human assault.
Territory isn't just where you build. It's how you earn resources, how you reach new areas, and something enemies can attack and sever. Expand aggressively for greater income, manipulate enemy routes with walls, cut off choke points, and combine specialized towers with very different attack behaviors.

Is medium difficulty possible in the current version? I've tried a fair few openings now and there doesn't seem to be a way to balance firepower with getting to mineral patches. The starting position is pretty far removed from land worth grabbing.
About the best I could get to was wave 12, at which point I didn't have half the stopping power to counter one tank, let alone two. Even that much was accomplished in no small part because a good deal of enemies targeted a lone bit of wall.
Yes, its possible. Dont forget (maybe my bad for not mentioning it clearly), you can move towers (and walls) one tile between rounds.
